INTERNATIONAL EFFORTS

Because the Wheelchair Skills Program (WSP) is simple and focuses on skills that can help in dealing with obstacles in many environments, we believe that it should be applicable in many developed and developing nations. The WSP has attracted interest in a variety of countries. Countries in which people have registered to be kept aware of developments include (in alphabetical order): Australia Canada England Finland India Ireland Italy Norway Sweden United States Translation of the WSP into French is under way. When it is available, the French version of the WSP will be posted on the website. In March 2005, WSP orientation and training sessions were provided in India, in New Delhi and Kanpur.
